Description:

Nebbiolo is the royal variety of Piedmont, one of the noble grapes of Italian and international viticulture. Nebbiolo has found it’s ideal dimension in this region, from North Piedmont to Monferrato, but Langhe and Roero are the places it could call home. Marco Capra produces the Testanvisca, “the lit up head”, an homage to the energy generated in whomever drink this wine.

Tasting Notes and Pairing:
A red garnet wine, with complex, elegant notes of violet, then black currant, blueberry, liquorice and spices. Persistent to the palate, with delicate tannins and hints of spices and raspberry.
Suggested serving temperature:
To be served at 18°C.
in the vineyard:
Harvest is done manually using small holed baskets, between the second and third decade of October
Production method and aging:
The fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 28°C. Then, the wine is placed in large Austrian oak barrels and is kept there for 12-15 months, during which malolactic fermentation takes place. Finally, blending is made in steel tanks.
