The ancient Cellar 1619

This is the story of a Relais immersed in the surrounding wine-growing landscape, the result of centuries of collaboration between man and nature. A history of dedication and love for the land that led, in 1619, to the construction of the Monastery on the San Maurizio hill, challenging the abandoned land to make it home to some of the noblest crops in the area. The history of the Monastery, which today houses the Relais San Maurizio, is intertwined with the tradition of the place and its vocation for viticulture, which has led to the recognition of these hills as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Thanks to the hard work of its producers and to the history of its vineyards, the wine of this land is an ambassador throughout the world for the excellence of the Langhe, Piedmont and Italy. A precious legacy that looks to the future. Today, the Relais San Maurizio opens the doors of its wine cellar full of fine wines coming from the most renowned wine regions, Italy and France above all, allowing you to taste the most prestigious labels from the collection of the
Michelin-starred restaurant Guido da Costigliole directly at home. A careful selection in the Monastery Cellar allows us to bring to the world a treasure chest of excellence of wine of Piedmont, Italy, France and from the most historic wine regions of the world, and to be a spokesman for the greatest quality of those wines and products that originate from respect for the land and the synergy between man and nature.

San Maurizio Wine Club was created thanks to the collaboration with the expertise of Guido da Costigliole and of a range of producers invited to be part of the selection, and offers a precious collection of special labels from all over Italy, as well as some of the labels of the Collection of the Monastery Cellar: wines from Italy, France and from all over the world. The San Maurizio Wine Club is created for those who appreciate not only wine, but even more the value of time that a bottle of good wine holds. The Wine Club will take you on a journey through wines, stories and people, a journey that begins with the places where some of Italy's finest wines are produced. You will always be accompanied by the careful selection of producers whose wines show their love for the land, the toil of the vineyards, the satisfaction of a fragrant must. A quest for unique experiences and a passion for new discoveries is the bond that every Wine Club Member share, with dedicated bottles shipped directly to your home, benefits and exclusive advantages linked to the Italy of wine and beyond. With patience and dedication, the San Maurizio Wine Club selects each bottle to offer you the highest quality only. All you have to do is relax, pull out a glass and slowly savour the fruit of our research.

Every wine box contains 6 different labels, 2 wines per label, of selected wines from Italy (and occasionally abroad), in a mix of most renowned appellations and up-and-coming native grape varieties, producers and wine regions from Piedmont and from Italy.

*Australia, China, Taiwan, Singapore, South Korea deliveries: please advice for dedicated conditions

  • Fall shipment:

Expected to leave: by the end of November.

  • Spring shipment:

Expected to leave: by the end of April.

  • For the duration of your membership members have 10% off overnight stay at Relais San Maurizio and 10% off at the Spa treatments of Relais San Maurizio during overnight stay.

The discount is intended for one room (two people).

ADDITIONAL SERVICES

  • Membership includes a Wine Concierge service that will be at disposal of the members upon appointment for online and in-person meetings at Relais San Maurizio and in the area. The Concierge service will advice on wines of the San Maurizio Wine Club and Italian wine in general.
  • San Maurizio Wine Club is available to organize winery visits for its members with the Guest Producers of the project.

Upon subscription, you will receive email and whatsapp contact to plan your Wine Concierge appointment and your visits.

EVENTS

  • Members of the Club will be informed via email and on their personal website page of any event planned by the San Maurizio Wine Club for its members.

Events may be free or with an access fee and they may allow to be accompanied by a partner.
