Description:
Produced with the grapes of one single vineyard, in Castelnuovo Calcea, in the Nizza subzone, this wine represents a jewel for both the producer and the denomination.
Only 2000 bottles are produced, and only in the very best vintages (the previous one was 2009). The exposure (south-south-east) the soil composed of calcareous-clay marls with prevalence of silt, the selection of single bunches from old vines all contribute to this very special product, that seeks to represent at their best, not only the style of the house, but the Nizza denomination itself.
Tasting Notes and Pairing: A complex and sensual wine, with ripe notes and nuances of sweet tobacco and coffee. Best paired with important, structured dishes such as the local beef stew or the Piedmontese mixed boiled meat. It is perfect with French cuisine dishes as well.

Production method and aging: Skin-contact maceration with pumping-over. Aging in barriques for 14 months.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES
Membership includes a Wine Concierge service that will be at disposal of the members upon appointment for online and in-person meetings at Relais San Maurizio and in the area. The Concierge service will advice on wines of the San Maurizio Wine Club and Italian wine in general.
San Maurizio Wine Club is available to organize winery visits for its members with the Guest Producers of the project.
Upon subscription, you will receive email and whatsapp contact to plan your Wine Concierge appointment and your visits.
EVENTS
Members of the Club will be informed via email and on their personal website page of any event planned by the San Maurizio Wine Club for its members.
Events may be free or with an access fee and they may allow to be accompanied by a partner.
