Pinot Nero, ovvero “l’Elegante”.
Il terreno secco di rocce primitive si presta perfettamente alla coltivazione delle viti che trovano posto sui ripidi pendii esposti a sud, a un’altitudine di 590 – 900 m s.l.m.
La densitudine delle viti è “estremamente serrata”: 10.000-12.000 viti per ettaro.
In ogni parcella, vengono coltivate all’incirca 4-5 differenti varietà clonali “così che ogni vigna contenga la sua propria biodiversità”.
L’azienda punta sul lavoro manuale, i macchinari fungono solo da supporto.

Vino corposo dall’elegante spettro aromatico che richiama note di frutti di bosco e ciliegia, con tannini molto fini.

L’uva rimane in grandi vasche di fermentazione di legno di rovere per 3-4 settimane durante le quali gli acini vengono continuamente rimestati a mano. Infine il vino viene trasferito in barrique francesi da 228-500 l dove resta per 12 mesi. Una volta imbottigliato, viene stoccato per un altro anno in azienda, dove ha modo di maturare.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES

  • Membership includes a Wine Concierge service that will be at disposal of the members upon appointment for online and in-person meetings at Relais San Maurizio and in the area. The Concierge service will advice on wines of the San Maurizio Wine Club and Italian wine in general.
  • San Maurizio Wine Club is available to organize winery visits for its members with the Guest Producers of the project.

Upon subscription, you will receive email and whatsapp contact to plan your Wine Concierge appointment and your visits.

EVENTS

  • Members of the Club will be informed via email and on their personal website page of any event planned by the San Maurizio Wine Club for its members.

Events may be free or with an access fee and they may allow to be accompanied by a partner.
