Pinot Noir, that is “Sheer Elegance”
The impervious terrain of primary rock, exposed to the south, lends itself perfectly to the growing of vines. The grape vines extend over an area of twelve hectares at altitudes of between 590–900 m a.s.l.
Vineyard density is “very tight,” at 10,000 to 12,000 vines per hectare. In all the parcels, there are four or five different clones of any given variety, “so, each vineyard has his own diversity”. The winery works mostly manually, with machinery employed only in a supportive capacity.
Tasting Notes and Pairing: The aromatic spectrum of this full-bodied wine reminds of fruits of the forest and cherries, with gloriously fine tannins.

Production method and aging: The grapes are left in large oak fermentation vats for three to four weeks, during which time they are continuously mixed by hand. After this, the wine is transferred to French barrels of between 228 – 500 liters, where it remains for twelve months. Once bottled, the wine is placed in store for another year, which allows it to mature.

Membership includes a Wine Concierge service that will be at disposal of the members upon appointment for online and in-person meetings at Relais San Maurizio and in the area. The Concierge service will advice on wines of the San Maurizio Wine Club and Italian wine in general.
San Maurizio Wine Club is available to organize winery visits for its members with the Guest Producers of the project.
Upon subscription, you will receive email and whatsapp contact to plan your Wine Concierge appointment and your visits.
EVENTS
Members of the Club will be informed via email and on their personal website page of any event planned by the San Maurizio Wine Club for its members.
Events may be free or with an access fee and they may allow to be accompanied by a partner.
