Campo Lusso è il “Gran-Cru” di Cabernet Sauvignon di Petrolo, proveniente dall’omonimo vigneto piantato l’11 Settembre 2001. Il nome deriva da un’ antica espressione dei contadini di queste terre che definivano il campo che accoglie l’attuale vigneto come il più bello della tenuta, un vero e proprio lusso. Situato su un terrazzamento naturale proprio sotto l’antica torre di Galatrona, il vigneto interamente circondato da boschi, ha delle condizioni pedoclimatiche particolarmente favorevoli.

Frutti scuri ma dalla buona acidità, spezie dolci e profumi di terra umida.
In bocca, ampio, ricco con tannini rotondi e raffinati.
Da abbinare con una grigliata di carne gustosa.

In vigna
Dal 2004 abbiamo abbandonato l’agricoltura tradizionale a favore di pratiche naturali e sostenibili: nessuna irrigazione o concimazione, inerbimento integrale con pacciamatura e abolizione di pesticidi di sintesi. Dall’annata 2016 Petrolo ha ottenuto la certificazione di agricoltura biologica anche nella conduzione dei vigneti (l’olio di Petrolo è biologico già dagli anni ‘90). Per favorire l’ equilibrio naturale in vigna la gestione del verde viene eseguita manualmente con interventi mirati. Potature spinte e diradamenti sono pressoché assenti nelle piante più mature, già in equilibrio. 
In cantina
Raccolta manuale in cassette, Selezione delgrappolo e degli acini su tavolo di cernita. Vinificazionespontanea con lieviti autoctoni in vasche di cemento vetrificate.Rimontaggi manuali frequenti ma delicati. Lunghe macerazioni.
Fermentazione malo-lattica spontanea in legno. Maturazione in barrique di rovere francese nuove rigorosamenteselezionate per 20/22 mesi circa Batonnage costanti delle feccefini per i primi 6 mesi

ADDITIONAL SERVICES

  • Membership includes a Wine Concierge service that will be at disposal of the members upon appointment for online and in-person meetings at Relais San Maurizio and in the area. The Concierge service will advice on wines of the San Maurizio Wine Club and Italian wine in general.
  • San Maurizio Wine Club is available to organize winery visits for its members with the Guest Producers of the project.

Upon subscription, you will receive email and whatsapp contact to plan your Wine Concierge appointment and your visits.

EVENTS

  • Members of the Club will be informed via email and on their personal website page of any event planned by the San Maurizio Wine Club for its members.

Events may be free or with an access fee and they may allow to be accompanied by a partner.
