Description:

Vineyard (location): Collina Masua
Exposition: South – West
Altitude: from 350 m. to 400 “pergola” cultivation of the vines
Soil: clay and calcareous, drought-resistant.

Il Superiore è’ particolarmente pregiato per la sua persistenza, i suoi profumi delicati, per i sentori di frutta, pera e ciliegia, di vaniglia, e la sua avvolgente delicatezza e sapidità che lo rendono facile da abbinare.
Suggested serving temperature:
it is recommended to open the wine three hours before and to serve it in balloon glasses, temperature around 15-18°.
in the vineyard:
The family Clementi decided in 2017 to join the Federation of Independent Winemakers because totally aligned with the philosophy of the Federation, with the values and the requirements. The goal of this Federation is to combine all those winemakers who strongly believe and protect their territory, moreover, winemakers who produce the wine entirely in their cellars. The winemaker takes care and cultivate the vineyard, he harvests manually and vinify, he bottles and sells his wine. All this represent exactly the same philosophy of Clementi from the very beginning.
Production method and aging:
Manual harvesting and vinification in October. Fermentation last almost 10 days; then twice in a day pumping over and delastage in the middle of the fermentation process. After that the drawn off and the wine, not filtered, is racked four times and then placed in oak barrels of 30 hl and then barriques of second passage for at least one year.
Aging in 30 hl big French oak.

  • Membership includes a Wine Concierge service that will be at disposal of the members upon appointment for online and in-person meetings at Relais San Maurizio and in the area. The Concierge service will advice on wines of the San Maurizio Wine Club and Italian wine in general.
  • San Maurizio Wine Club is available to organize winery visits for its members with the Guest Producers of the project.

Upon subscription, you will receive email and whatsapp contact to plan your Wine Concierge appointment and your visits.

EVENTS

  • Members of the Club will be informed via email and on their personal website page of any event planned by the San Maurizio Wine Club for its members.

Events may be free or with an access fee and they may allow to be accompanied by a partner.
