To great surprise, given its ancient tradition of viticulture, in 1452, the constant, excellent quality of its products and a name now recognized among all enthusiasts, Château de Pez maintains an excellent quality-price ratio, which makes it extremely interesting to discover and try for those who love these wines and this region.
Born on the soils of the AOC Saint-Estèphe it was indicated among the 9 “Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnels” in 2003, proving to have the potential to stand next to the Grand Crus. The unique soils and microclimate reflected in these wines attracted the attention of the Rouzaud family, owner of the Champagne house of Roederer and other estates in Bordeaux, who bought it in 1995.
The wines of this reality are characterized by an austere, decisive and important profile, typical of the Saint-Estèphe region: structured and long-lived. Hence, the decision to increase the percentage of Merlot, which adds softness to complete the sensory experience.
Austere and structured, with important tannins. Hints of black fruits, underbrush and coffee.
Perfect with leg of lamb or an entrecôte.

Suggestion to open it about 1 to 2 hours before serving it. And let it breath in the glass as well.
Fermentation in stainless-steel. Aged in barriques (40% new) for 24 months approximately.
